Embracing Forgiveness

The necessary reason lost sinners put their faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work at Calvary is because they realize they need to have their offenses (their personal sins) against God forgiven. They trust it is by the blood of Christ alone that was shed on Calvary’s cross that enabled a Holy God to truly forgive them for all of their trespasses! So by faith alone in Christ, salvation & sin was settled!

Waking Up To God's Love - Part 2

Psalm 92:1-2 NIV
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night...

Two practical and yet important times of praise are morning and evening. The first being as you rise up in the morning, the other as you settle down for the evening; the morning being a time of devotion and dedication and the evening being a time of rest and reflection. In between the morning and evening may we proclaim His love for us today by thanking Him for the many blessings that we have. Because of His love we are blessed beyond human measure, forgiven, sealed with the Holy Spirit, and being changed by this love.

Waking Up To God's Love - Part 1

Psalm 5:3&7 NIV
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly… But I, by your great love, can come into your house; in reverence I bow down toward your holy temple.

This was a morning prayer of King David’s; it was a plea for help to His Great King and God. As his day was beginning he foresaw the evil that was around him, so in humility and confidence he sought the Lord early. David knew that because of God’s great love he could enter God’s divine presence to seek His comfort and encouragement. He asked the Lord to lead him in the way of righteousness amidst the evil of his day.
